Vettaiyan: Rana Daggubati impresses as Natraj in FIRST LOOK video from Rajinikanth-starrer; fans react

Another day, another Vettaiyan character reveal! The makers of Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Vettaiyan have released the character poster of Rana Daggubati from the TJ Gnanavel directorial. Rana, who is rumored to be playing a negative role in the film, looks stylish and intriguing in the new video.

The new character reveal video introduces the Telugu star as Natraj, with Rana seen in multiple crisp looks. He can be seen donning suave shirt-and-pant outfits, showcasing his charming sense of fashion in this film as well. In one scene, he is seen interacting with Rajinikanth while seated on a couch. Soon after the video was shared on social media, fans were seen dropping fire emojis in the comments section. One of the fans also wrote, "Welcome Natraj, waiting to see you on screen."

According to earlier reports, Rana Daggubati will not be playing a typical villain in the film but rather a tech-savvy character skilled in hacking laptops and gadgets, only to be later outwitted by Rajinikanth's character. Rana has worked on his appearance, operating from a sleek corporate office in the film. While the new video highlights his sharp and stylish look, his role in the movie is darker.

Director TJ Gnanavel, known for delivering powerful, hard-hitting films with strong social messages, is maintaining his signature style in Vettaiyan, starring Rajinikanth. Reports suggest the film will focus on the education system and promises to be a hard-hitting story exposing corruption within the system. With Rana rumored to be playing the main antagonist, the movie is expected to be a thrilling watch on the big screen.

Directed by TJ Gnanavel, this upcoming cop drama revolves around a Muslim officer fighting against injustice. Reportedly based on true events, the film features Rajinikanth in the role of the cop and Rana Daggubati as a cunning entrepreneur. The ensemble cast includes Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Kishore, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Shaji Chen, Ramesh Thilak, Rakshan, and GM Sundar, among others. Amazon Prime Video has reportedly acquired the OTT rights to the film.

Vettaiyan is set to hit the big screens on October 10, 2024, this Dussehra season.
