Vettaiyan: Is Anirudh Ravichander going to shake a leg with Rajinikanth in the first single Manasilayo? Video from sets LEAKED!

Rajinikanth’s upcoming cop action drama Vettaiyan is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated releases of the year. While the film is scheduled for a grand release on October 10, 2024, composer Anirudh Ravichander recently hinted at the release of the first single from the film. Although the composer did not mention the date and only announced the title of the song, 'Manasilayo', a recently leaked video revealed major details about it.

According to sources, the first single, titled 'Manasilayo', is scheduled for release on August 26, 2024. Additionally, an insider leaked a video from the shooting sets where the song was filmed. The short glimpse shows a grand set with a festive vibe and many background dancers performing alongside the leading man, Rajinikanth. Interestingly, the video also features composer Anirudh Ravichander, who can be seen dancing with the superstar in the music video. Although an official confirmation is awaited, the leaked video has led fans to believe that the singer-composer is indeed making a cameo appearance in the song.  

Notably, the song title 'Manasilayo', although derived from the Malayalam language, was popularized by Rajinikanth and Vinayagan, who used it as a punchline "Manasilayo saare" in their 2023 blockbuster film Jailer.

Directed by TJ Gnanavel, the upcoming cop drama revolves around a Muslim officer who fights against injustice. Reportedly based on true events, the film features Rajinikanth in the role of the cop and Rana Daggubati as a cunning entrepreneur. The ensemble cast includes Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Kishore, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Shaji Chen, Ramesh Thilak, Rakshan, and GM Sundar, among others.  

Amazon Prime Video has reportedly acquired the OTT rights to the film. Vettaiyan is set to hit the big screens on October 10, 2024, during the Dussehra season, where it will clash with another major release, Suriya’s Kanguva at the box office.
