Vettaiyan: First single Manasilaayo from Rajinikanth's cop drama to be out very soon! Check out new poster

Superstar Rajinikanth’s film Vettaiyan is gearing up for its release on October 10, 2024. Ahead of its release, the makers have decided to kick off the promotions, starting with the film's musical promos. They recently announced that the first single from the film, 'Manasilaayo', will be released on September 9, 2024. 

 “Keep your speakers ready! Our Chettan is on the way with a perfect blend of MALTA. #MANASILAAYO, the 1st single from VETTAIYAN, is dropping on 9th SEPT. #VettaiyanReleasing on October 10th in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi & Kannada!,” the team wrote on social media. 

The makers also released a thrilling poster of the superstar from the film, showcasing the actor holding an axe, exuding powerful protagonist vibes! Check out the new poster here!

Earlier, pics and footage from the sets of the first single, 'Manasilaayo', were leaked online. The viral video featured a massive set constructed with grandeur, giving off festive vibes. With several background dancers and elaborate props, the video offered a sneak peek into the grand song shoot. However, what caught the attention of viewers was composer Anirudh Ravichander’s appearance alongside Rajinikanth, as they were seen dancing together. The video also confirmed that the composer will make a cameo appearance in the song video, 'Manasilaayo'. For context, the song title 'Manasilaayo' was popularised by Rajinikanth and Vinayakan, who used it as a punchline, "Manasilaayo saare," in their 2023 blockbuster film Jailer. The Malayalam word means 'Understood?'

Vettaiyan cast and crew

 Helmed by Jai Bhim director TJ Gnanavel, the upcoming cop drama revolves around a Muslim officer who fights against injustice. Reportedly based on true events, the film features Rajinikanth in the role of the cop and Rana Daggubati as a cunning entrepreneur. The film also boasts an ensemble cast, including Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Kishore, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Shaji Chen, Ramesh Thilak, Rakshan, and GM Sundar, among others.

The digital rights of the film have been purchased by Amazon Prime Video and it will be available for streaming on the OTT platform post its theatrical run. Vettaiyan is set to hit the big screens on October 10, 2024, during this Dussehra season.
