In a recent promotional interview, the director revealed that the film will have an absolutely pacy screenplay that audiences of all age groups will enjoy. He said, “I think I have already mentioned the genre of the film in the trailer itself, but it seems many viewers haven't been able to decode it. The GOAT is going to be a film that everyone can understand, regardless of their age. It does not have a confusing plot. But the catch is, you won't be able to predict what happens next while watching the film. I challenge you—you won't be able to predict the next scene.”

The director also compared his 2011 film Mankatha with Ajith, stating, “The GOAT is a fast-paced film; it's like Mankatha on steroids.”

He added that, unlike Mankatha, where he didn't delve deeply into emotional aspects, The GOAT focuses more on the protagonist’s character, who is a family man. The film centers around an incident that forms the crux of the story. “The film is based on Vijay’s character, Gandhi. It's based on a major episode in his life, and all I can say is, it's going to be epic,” the director revealed.
