Thalapathy Vijay's latest film, The Greatest Of All Time, has been officially cleared by the censor board with a substantial runtime of three hours. While some industry insiders and fans have expressed concerns about whether the film's length might hinder its appeal to today's fast-paced, overstimulated audience, the film's director, Venkat Prabhu, remains optimistic.

In a recent interview with Cineulagam, Venkat shared his unwavering belief in the film's ability to captivate viewers from beginning to end. He emphasized that The Greatest Of All Time was created as a tribute to Vijay, who is considering a shift from acting to a career in politics. "Even we were afraid of it initially," Venkat admitted. "But we need so much time to tell certain stories. Only then can we fulfil its potential."

Prabhu further elaborated on the decision to keep the film at its full length, saying, "I didn't want to cut short everything and affect the movie's intrigue factor. It will be a very fast-paced movie. Even without dialogue and music, while watching the reel, it felt so pacy. So everyone in the cast and crew has confidence in the movie, including Vijay sir."

Reflecting on what could be one of Vijay's last films before a possible career transition, Venkat said, "We don't know whether we will see Vijay sir again on the big screen. So we made this film as a celebration of Thalapathy." The director also assured fans that any moments that might seem slow are brief and are quickly overshadowed by the film's overall pace, promising a thrilling experience for viewers.

The Greatest Of All Time is set to hit cinemas worldwide on September 5. Given the anticipation surrounding Vijay's performance and Venkat's confident remarks, it is expected to be one of the biggest hits of Tamil cinema this year.
