Veera Dheera Sooran Part 2: SJ Suryah reveals details of late-night shoots with Chiyaan Vikram
SJ Suryah took to social media to commend Veera Dheera Sooran Part 2 director Arun's dedication and meticulous approach to filmmaking, sharing his admiration for the director's artistic vision.

Actor-filmmaker SJ Suryah is on a roll. He has become one of the most sought-after actors, not just in Tamil, but across the South Indian film industry. As one of the busiest actors, he's working with many leading directors in India. However, none seem to have impressed him as much as director SU Arun Kumar, the maker of Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2.
Suryah was so blown away by Arun's commitment to his craft and perseverance to realize his artistic vision that he felt a deep urge to share it with his followers on social media. Suryah revealed that he shot a pivotal scene for Veera Dheera Sooran throughout the night with the film's lead, Chiyaan Vikram.
Suryah couldn't help but praise Arun for his preparation and determination to continue working on a single scene until it satisfied his vision.
"In Madurai… last night, director Arun Kumar sir shot an extraordinary episode (pre-climax) between @chiyaan sir, myself, and Siraj sir for VEERA DEERA SOORA…. Before the shoot, he rehearsed this episode on the location with his assistant and team for about ten days and then brought us (actors) to the location, rehearsing for three nights with us. Last night, he achieved it around 5:05 in the early morning. One word I want to say to director Arun Kumar sir: ‘KALAITHAYIN IZHAYAMAHAN IYAA NEER(NEENGA)’ sjs congrats producer @shibuthameens sir," said Suryah, calling Arun the "young son of the mother of art."
Even though Arun has been making movies for a decade, he caught his first major break with Chithha in 2023. The film revolved around the issue of child sexual abuse and garnered him a lot of critical acclaim.
Arun has generated quite an anticipation around Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 with intriguing teaser trailers. Vikram seems to play the role of a reformed gangster, trying to hide from his problematic past.
