Vedaa trailer: John Abraham delivers raw action in this gripping tale of injustice | Watch

After a short hiatus, Bollywood action star John Abraham is set to deliver a punch with his upcoming gripping actioner Vedaa. The makers have finally released the film's trailer, and it's as intense as predicted. Directed by Nikkhil Advani, the action drama is headlined by John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh and is said to be inspired by real-life events.

The trailer opens with a gritty and powerful avatar of John Abraham, who is seen chanting a patriotic slogan while lying unconscious on the ground. The trailer then cuts to several high-octane action sequences, with each frame captured in a gripping way. 

John plays Major Abhimanyu, who is on a mission driven by vengeance and a quest for justice. Sharvari plays a complex character who joins Abhimanyu to fight against the injustice faced by minorities. 

The film is said to have true events that take place in society, with power-packed performances from the lead actors. Tamannaah Bhatia also plays a pivotal role in the movie.

Sharvari’s heartfelt note for ‘Abhimanyu Sir’

Earlier, lead actress Sharvari took to her Instagram page to pen a heartfelt note about her experience working with John Abraham. Sharing the poster from their upcoming film Vedaa, the actress wrote, “Abhimanyu Sir, Mhaari duniya mein aap ek akele aise insaan ho jisne kabhi-koi fark nahin kiya. Taught me not to tolerate injustice but you have formed a relationship with mine to fight injustice. You are my inspiration and for more Vedaas like me. On the occasion of Guru Purnima, this is my promise to you that the fight that I have started against injustice, I will keep fighting till the end and I will win it. Your student, Vedaa. #Vedaa releasing in cinemas this Independence Day🇮🇳.”

Directed by Nikkhil Advani, Vedaa is scheduled for release on August 15, for Independence Day. The film is bankrolled by John, Monisha Advani, and Madhu Bhojwani under the Zee Studios, Emmay Entertainment, and JA Entertainment banners.
