VD 12: Vijay Deverakonda's spy thriller to be released on THIS date | First look OUT

The wait is over! The most anticipated update from Telugu star Vijay Deverakonda and director Gowtam Tinnanuri’s upcoming film VD 12 (tentative title) has been released. After a long wait, the makers have finally released the first-look poster of Vijay Deverakonda from the film. It will be released in March 2025.

The new poster features a fierce Vijay, who sports a gritty avatar. He is seen screaming. The actor looks almost unrecognisable with a buzz cut and long beard. Overall, the new look has sent the internet into a frenzy, with fans eagerly anticipating the film's release. 

Moreover, Vijay’s caption, “His Destiny awaits him. Mistakes. Bloodshed. Questions. Rebirth,” has further heightened the hype around the film.

In addition to the first-look poster, the makers also dropped another exciting update about the film’s release. The movie is now officially slated for a worldwide release on March 28, 2025. The title of the movie is said to be announced this month in August.

Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the upcoming film stars Vijay Deverakonda and Sreeleela, sharing screen space for the first time. According to the latest updates, the film’s shooting will take place in Sri Lanka, following the team’s recent wrap-up of their month-long Vizag schedule.

Produced by Naga Vamsi under the banner of Sithara Entertainments, VD 12 will also feature Vijay Deverakonda debuting as a cop for the first time. Touted to be a spy thriller, the upcoming film promises high-octane, action-packed sequences that fans have been eagerly awaiting. The actor has also undergone a massive physical transformation and is set to make a significant impact on the big screen soon!

Vijay Deverakonda pins hope on VD 12

Vijay Deverakonda has faced major setbacks in his career, as the Telugu heartthrob has not had a single hit since his 2018 film Geetha Govindam, which also starred Rashmika Mandanna. 

Before the release of his last film, The Family Star, the actor was confident about its potential as a box office hit. However, the film failed to connect with audiences and was a massive failure. 

The actor was last seen in a cameo appearance in Prabhas' blockbuster film Kalki 2898 AD.
