'Untold heroes of the pandemic' : Nana Patekar starrer The Vaccine War is a riveting tribute to our medical scientists

After the success of The Kashmir Files, director Vivek Agnihotri is back with India’s first bio-science film, The Vaccine War. Set in the tumultuous times of the COVID-19 pandemic, it revolves around medical scientists having a race against time to curate the country’s very own vaccine. The movie stars Nana Patekar, Pallavi Joshi, Anupam Kher, Nivedita Bhattacharya, Raima Sen, and others in the lead roles.

Talking about the trailer, it shows Nana Patekar heading a team of scientists who are all geared to take up the mammoth task of creating India’s first vaccine to provide a solution to the rising coronavirus cases. The team mostly comprises diligent women who are toiling hard in this time of crisis. The team keeps the project a top secret as it is also a matter of national security. However, amidst this, they battle a narrative spread by a popular journalist played by Raima Sen who can be heard saying that India is not capable of creating a suitable vaccine. The trailer ends on an emotionally high-octane note wherein Nana Patekar’s character promises Anupam Kher who is presumably a Minister that he will create India’s first indigenous vaccine which will be the most safest for everyone in the country. No sooner was the trailer released than fans also started reacting to the same. They gave the riveting subject a huge thumbs up.
