Ullozhukku teaser: Parvathy and Urvashi set to narrate an intriguing tale about a family’s lies | Watch

The wait is over! The most-awaited teaser of the Malayalam film Ullozhukku is here! The makers took to social media to share the intriguing teaser featuring Urvashi and Parvathy, and it’s as compelling as the lead cast!

The teaser begins with Urvashi’s voiceover saying, “I loved you (Parvathy’s character) like my own daughter.” It then showcases intense shots of the talented duo—Parvathy and Urvashi, who seem to be distressed about something only they know. Urvashi insists Parvathy tell her the truth, but Parvathy doesn’t give a concrete answer. It’s assumed that both Parvathy and Urvashi play the roles of daughter-in-law and mother-in-law, respectively. Set amid the flooded region of Kuttanad, Kerala, the protagonists' family hides a secret that comes to light following a death in the family.

The teaser promises a gripping story that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats. With Curry and Cyanide: The Jolly Joseph Case-fame Christo Tomy at the helm, we can’t help but draw parallels between the documentary and the haunting secret yet to be disclosed in this new film. The new film is sure to keep us engaged, and fans are already thrilled after the teaser drop.

Ullozhukku

Written and directed by Christo Tomy, the upcoming film explores issues of deception and its impact on familial relationships. The film tells the story of a family living in Kuttanad, Kerala, who are forced to postpone the funeral of a close relative due to heavy rains and flooding. During this period, a number of hidden truths and secrets emerge, which shake the very foundation of the family's trust. 

Besides the lead cast, the movie also stars Shebin Benson, Arjun Radhakrishnan, Veena Nair, and Alencier Ley Lopez in pivotal roles. Interestingly, the director won first prize for the script of Ullozhukku in a competition judged by Bollywood actor Aamir Khan and director Rajkumar Hirani. The production of the film wrapped up in 2022. Malayalam cinephiles are eagerly looking forward to seeing the film on the big screen, as it stars two of India’s top female actors! The movie is produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Honey Trehan, and Abhishek Chaubey under the production companies RSVP and MacGuffin Pictures. The film’s original score and soundtrack were composed by Sushin Shyam.
