Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar box office day 1: Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor's romantic flick gets an impressive welcome in the ticket windows

The Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar released at the box office yesterday (March 8) and all eyes were on the first-day collections of the same. Considering no Bollywood release after Pathaan has managed to do wonders at the box office, there was a lot of skepticism regarding the collections of the movie. But the romantic flick has managed to impress everyone with its astounding welcome into the theatres.

According to the early reports that came floating by in Sacnilk, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar had raked in impressive advance booking numbers at the box office and showed all signs of being the second-best opening movie after Pathaan. The report further stated that the movie had managed to sell around 84000 tickets by 7 pm in the evening yesterday which amounts to Rs 2.50 crore. It furthermore said that the advance bookings were expected to reach till selling 100000 tickets until the entire day yesterday.

Now, according to early estimates, the Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer will open to a stupendous figure of Rs 14 to 16 crore at the box office on its first day. Not only this but there have been strong predictions that Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar will easily leave behind Kartik Aaryan’s Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety’s box office collections which were also helmed by Luv Ranjan. For the unversed, the film that also starred Nushratt Bharuccha and Sunny Singh in the lead roles had opened to Rs 6.42 crore and had amassed a total collection of Rs 109 crore.

Well, it seems that the first collaboration between Ranbir Kapoor and Luv Ranjan has definitely paid off. The fresh pairing of Ranbir with the gorgeous Shraddha Kapoor was also like a cherry on the cake. The movie also stars Dimple Kapadia and Boney Kapoor in pivotal roles.
