Tiku Weds Sheru Twitter review: Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer receives mixed reactions but Avneet Kaur wins hearts

Tiku Weds Sheru starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur is finally out and so are the audience’s reviews on Twitter. While a section of social media users praised Kangana Ranaut’s first production venture as a ‘simple romantic love story that puts a smile’. Some of them called it a ‘complete disaster’. However, Twitterati remained undivided while lauding Avneet's performance, who made her Bollywood debut with the movie.

Directed by Sai Kabir Srivastav, the film introduces Nawazuddin as Sheru and Avneet As Tiku, who are struggling to achieve their Bollywood dream. Kangana leaves the audience surprised with a cameo appearance in the movie. One of the Twitter users wrote, “Just finished watching #TikuWedsSheru and my godd what a marvellous performance by our girl #AvneetKaur, it didn't look like she is debuting in Bollywood, such a masterpiece overall loved the movie, (sic).” The second user reacted, “#AvneetKaur performance in #TikuWedsSheru was spectacular, never expected this chirpy girl to play such intense role filled with layers #NawazuddinSiddiqui essayed the role of Sheru with much potency #KanganaRanaut just did too amazing Story was good, (sic).”

On the other hand, some slammed the movie for its ‘cringeworthy dialogues’ and ‘absurd plot’. “Just watched #Tikuwedssheru and it was a complete disaster! Terrible acting, an incoherent plot, and cringe-worthy dialogue. Save yourself the agony and steer clear of this cinematic train wreck.i don’t know what Nawaz is doing #NawazuddinSiddiqui #AvneetKaur #KanganaRanaut,(sic),” a Twitter user stated. Another added, “#TikuWedsSheru is the dumbest, nonsense & a Stupid film which is produced by Kangana Ranaut ! Nawaz bhai bas krdo ab rehem khao audience pey - aisi filme dekh kar Zeher khana padjayega audience ko ! MINUS ZERO STAR TO THE FILM.”

Meanwhile, Tiku Weds Sheru grabbed attention for the kissing scene between Nawazuddin and Avneet much ahead of the release of the movie. The netizens criticised the scene owing to the huge age gap between the actors. Backed by Manikarnika Films, the film was released on Amazon Prime Video on June 23, 2023.
