Tiger 3 to bring good news for Salman Khan this Diwali after a series of flops? Trade expert makes THIS prediction
Salman Khan's Tiger 3 might finally change his dismal luck at the box office after a series of flops.
All eyes are on Salman Khan’s Diwali release Tiger 3 which will be hitting the theatres on November 12, 2023. The movie has him and Katrina Kaif reprising their roles as Tiger and Zoya. This time we will also get a menacing villain in Emraan Hashmi.
However, the success of the movie is essential even more so to break the superstar’s dismal run at the box office with his past films. It is not a hidden fact that Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan was a box office flop. Before that Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai was turned down by the fans. His previous movies like Dabangg 3, Race 3, and Bharat also did not achieve a mammoth success so will the Maneesh Sharma directorial espionage film do the trick for him this time?

The advance bookings of Tiger 3 have already opened. Within just three days, it has managed to sell almost 3 lakh tickets in 10,000 shows earning a total of Rs 8 crore. Trade analyst Akshay Rathi believes that the fact that the movie is releasing on Diwali day can also be a risk since people will be busy with their festivities but it will not spell much bad news for the movie. It might not affect the opening of the movie ‘beyond a point.’
According to a news report in Indian Express, the film distributor went on to add, “What they are encashing on by releasing the film on this Sunday is the day of Diwali. The festival is celebrated in the homes of the Hindus, and if you look at the fanbase of Salman Khan, it doesn’t comprise people who are just Hindus. It comprises people of all religions who would come to the theatres, who are not doing Laxmi puja at home. The day after Diwali is considered the biggest day for business which they will encash on. Day after it is Bhai Duj, which again would be beneficial for them. So, all these holidays that they are getting actually make a lot of sense to release it on a Sunday.” However, he acknowledged that the movie could have gotten a better opening if released on a Monday.
Reportedly, one lakh tickets have already been sold in national cinema chains like PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis. It is also expected to do well in the non-national chains and single-screen theatres. Many trade experts are also expecting a Rs 100 crore opening for the movie at the global box office.
