After amassing strong collections in its first three days, Salman Khan-starrer Tiger 3 witness a dip of 50 percent on its fourth day. The World Cup semi-final match on Wednesday have led to a dent in the film’s performance. While viewers were busy watching the showdown between India vs New Zealand, the footfalls in theatres were heavily impacted. Even Vikrant Massey’s 12th Fail’s collection saw major drop on the day.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 22 crore on Wednesday, taking the total box office collection to Rs 169.5 crore in the domestic market. The dip came as a shock to the producers as Day 4 marked Bhai Dooj, which is a holiday in many parts of the country. The film’s worldwise collection stands at Rs 241.85 crore gross. The film had a bumper opening of Rs 44 crore, which further surged on Day 2 and Day 3, amounting to Rs 144.5 crore.
On the other hand, the collection of Vikrant’s film was impacted by the World Cup semi-finals but still 0.75 crores* did come in. Although, the collections have actually stayed consistently in that 1-2 crores range on a daily basis. However, both the film will grow for sure as craze would have reasonably settled by the weekends.. Though on Sunday, there would be a dip again due to the World Cup finals.
