Thunivu gets U/A certification from Censor Board ahead of its Pongal release
Ajith's heist-thriller will clash against Vijay's Varisu next week.

The first trailer for the upcoming heist-thriller dropped on December 31st and received a lot of support from Ajith 's fans, with many praising him for playing a grey-shaded character.
The movie was submitted for certification last week and now producer Boney Kapoor has revealed via Twitter that the movie has received a U/A certification.
Ajith's Thunivu is one of the most anticipated movies of 2023, the heist thriller directed by H. Vinoth focuses on a group of bank robbers and their leader played by Ajith.
Thunivu will be the third collaboration between Aith and the director after 2019s Nerkonda Paarvai and 2022s Valimai.
Thunivu marks the first on-screen pairing of Ajith and National award-winning Malayalam actress Manju Warrier, this will be her second Tamil movie after 2019s Asuran in which she co-starred with Dhanush.
The full cast of the movie includes Manju Warrier as Kanmani, Samuthirakani as Dayalan, Ajay as Ramachandran, GM Sundar as Muthazhagan, Veera as Radha, John Kokken as Krish, Bhagavathi Perumal as Rajesh, and Prem Kumar as Prem.
Veteran Nirav Shah is handling the cinematography with Vijay Velukutty in charge of the editing, The movie is produced by Boney Kapoor.
In a recent interview, the stunt director for the movie Supreme Sundar revealed that Thunivu will have a 32-second one-shot 360-degree stunt done by Ajith.
He went on to say that Ajith was very enthusiastic about doing the sequence and that it took them 13 takes to get it right.
The music for the movie is composed by Ghibran and currently, three tracks from the movie "Chilla Chilla" sung by Anirudh Ravichander, Vaisagh, and Ghibran, "Kasethan Kadavulada" sung by Vaisagh, Manju Warrier, Ghibran and "Gangstaa" sung by Shabir, Ghibran have been released online.
Thunvi will be clashing at the Tamil box office with Thalapthy Vijay's Varisu . Vijay and Ajith are two f the biggest stars in the Tamil movie industry and have had movies clash at the office before. It will be interesting to see who emerges on top this time.
