Telugu superstar Prabhas surprised fans on Wednesday by revealing a brand-new look from his upcoming movie, The Raja Saab. While earlier posters showcased him in a more casual and carefree avatar, the latest poster hints at a darker, more intense side to his character. It seems that Prabhas will be playing a double role in the film—one as a younger, carefree man, and the other as a grizzled older version, sending chills down fans' spines.

In the newly unveiled poster, Prabhas is dressed in antique black attire, sporting a salt-and-pepper look. With a cigar hanging from his mouth and his death stare aimed at the audience, the older Prabhas exudes a menacing aura. This starkly contrasts with his younger look in the film, which portrays him as a romantic, happy-go-lucky character, seemingly enchanted by flowers and the company of beautiful women. The older version, however, hints at deep-seated rage and unresolved issues.

Given the imagery, it's safe to speculate that Prabhas’ character might even be a ghost. While he has previously played father-son duos on screen, this marks the first time fans will see him portray a double role, particularly an older man with a much darker edge.

The Raja Saab signals Prabhas' return to more grounded and nuanced roles after a series of larger-than-life characters in films with massive budgets and expansive storylines. Written and directed by Maruthi Dasari, The Raaj Saab is touted as a horror comedy, which adds to the excitement. The film will also feature Nidhhi Agerwal and Malavika Mohanan in leading roles alongside Prabhas.

The film is now slated for release on April 10, a coveted summer slot that was previously held by Kannada superstar Yash's highly anticipated movie, Toxic. With Toxic facing delays due to production challenges, The Raja Saab has stepped in to claim the prime release date, much to the delight of fans eager for Prabhas’ next big-screen adventure.

Earlier, fans had speculated that a teaser for The Raja Saab would drop as part of the celebrations for Prabhas' 45th birthday.
