The Greatest of All Time update: Third single from Vijay-starrer to drop very soon!

With less than 35 days until its release, the makers of Thalapathy Vijay’s eagerly anticipated film The Greatest of All Time have been teasing fans with several updates. In the latest development, they have announced that the third single from director Venkat Prabhu's film will be released on August 3, 2024. The announcement was accompanied by a poster, with the makers writing, “Dropping a 💣 to blast your feed. #TheGoatThirdSingle is releasing on Aug 3rd.” They also hinted that a new update will be shared tomorrow, August 2, 2024.

The announcement poster features the silhouette of Vijay and an actress, speculated to be Meenakshi Chaudhary, in a dance pose. More details about the song will be released soon. For those who are unaware, popular composer Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the original background score and soundtracks for The GOAT.

The Greatest of All Time to be released in IMAX formats

Earlier today, the makers announced that the upcoming Vijay-starrer sci-fi action drama is set to be released in IMAX format. The film is scheduled for a worldwide release on September 5, 2024, in both standard and IMAX formats. Besides the original Tamil version, the movie will also be released with dubbed versions in Telugu and Hindi.

About The Greatest of All Time

As per earlier reports, it has been widely speculated that The Greatest of All Time will focus on cloning technology, which is expected to become widespread by 2050. A fan-made video speculated that the first glimpse, released on Thalapathy Vijay’s birthday, hinted at this theme, showing a figure resembling Vijay inside a cylindrical device. The video also noted the phrase "Peak of 11 billion by 2050," implying the film might explore the concept of 11 billion clones by that year.

Vijay plays dual roles in the movie, portraying both a man and his son. For the uninitiated, Vijay will take on the roles of a 50-year-old and a 19-year-old in this Venkat Prabhu directorial. The film features an impressive ensemble cast, including Mohan, Prashanth, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jayaram, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Vaibhav, Premgi Amaren, Aravind Akash, and Ajmal Ameer. Siddhartha Nuni has handled the cinematography for the movie.
