The Great Indian Family Trailer: Vicky Kaushal’s life is turned upside down; Manushi Chhillar adds a splash of glam
Vicky Kaushal’s life falls apart in The Great Indian Family thanks to a major twist
The Great Indian Family
What if one day a secret is revealed which disrupts your perfect life, that you were busy living happily? Well, that’s exactly what happens to Vicky Kaushal’s character Ved Vyas Tripathi, better known as Bhajan Kumar, in The Great Indian Family. When we first heard the title of this YRF film, we expected a dramatic family comedy. But the trailer has now revealed that this film, much like Ved’s life, is a rollercoaster ride of emotions with a major twist! It's a massy entertainer that we didn’t know we needed.
The 1 minute 55 seconds long trailer begins with an introduction of the superstar of Balrampur– Ved, a bhajan singer who belongs to a respected royal family of priests. He is in the prime of his life, well known as the undisputed king of devotional songs. Then one fine day, Manushi Chhillar walks into his life looking fierce and fabulous. But this is not the twist that turns his world upside down! The twist arrives in the form of a mysterious letter which states that Ved, who we are guessing is adopted, is Muslim. This is obviously a big shocker for a Hindu family who believe religion is above all else. But does this change anything?
Well, sadly this mystery changes everything! Bhajan Kumar, who was once upon a time loved by all, suddenly becomes a social pariah. His own family kicks him out of the house. But we can’t wait to see how he deals with his life crumbling down when The Great Indian Family arrives in theatres on 22nd September. Not just us but even fans are impressed with this trailer. One comment under the video read: “This show is going to be a cultural phenomenon, and youre at the center of it”, whereas another fan wrote: “You can ignore bollywood but you can not ignore Vicky Kaushal Sir ❤❤😍😍🔥🔥.”

We only hope Manushi gets to enjoy a longer screen time in the film than she did in the trailer. But we do have high expectations from Vicky and his family, which consists of Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra and Srishti Dixit.
