The GOAT: Did you know THIS was the first pick for Thalapathy Vijay’s character appearance as Jeevan in Venkat Prabhu's directorial?
Check out the first concept look that was planned for Jeevan's character in Thalapathy Vijay's The Greatest of All Time.
Jeevan (Vijay) in The GOAT
While Thalapathy Vijay’s latest sci-fi action thriller The Greatest of All Time has been making impressive numbers at the box office, the film received mixed responses from audiences, particularly regarding Vijay’s younger version in the film. For context, the younger version of Vijay’s character, named Jeevan, sported an anchor beard with a spiky hairdo. However, this look was subjected to heavy trolling by some viewers, who did not appreciate the style of their favorite star. Fans are now even more upset after learning that Venkat Prabhu recently revealed the initial look that was planned for Jeevan's character.
Details about Vijay's look as Jeevan REVEALED
The director shared the first concept image of Thalapathy Vijay, which featured the actor with thick, full hair and light stubble. However, the director explained that this style was later rejected, as the makers felt it might not suit the character. They eventually decided to go with the current look seen in the film. After the video of the director’s revelation went viral, fans expressed their disappointment with the makers' decision, as many preferred the initial concept over the one used in the film.
One user commented, "Ngl (Not Gonna Lie), the first de-aged concept could have been used in the film." Nonetheless, fans have been impressed by the director’s vision and praised him for delivering a menacing character through Jeevan.
