Netflix India shared a video of The Archies star cast comprising Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, and Khushi Kapoor in the lead roles celebrating the unveiling of the new poster of the movie. Not only this but the film also got a new release date. However, it seems that the majority of the netizens did not share the same excitement of the film and started trolling the same.
Talking about the same, the video shows Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, and Khushi Kapoor along with Vedang Raina, Yuvraj Menda, Mihir Ahuja, and Dot can be seen expressing their excitement as the new poster of The Archies gets unveiled. It is also revealed that the film will be released on December 7, 2023, which is 100 days from now. The cast members can be seen posing on the streets of Mumbai overlooking the poster. They also have colorful umbrellas as they celebrate the same. Take a look at the video and the poster.
However, the netizens did not share the same jovial mood and many started trolling the star cast of the movie. One of the netizens stated, “Looks like cringe festival.” A user went on to say, “Ameer bachcho ki rochak kathayein.” A netizen further added, “SOBO : Ek ameer kahaani.” Another netizen went on to add, “Struggle ki Khushi hai bhai.’ A user took a sharp dig at The Archies and said that the film is not made for India. The comment said, “Chill guys not made for India.” Another netizen said, “Just when I thought Riverdale is done with.” A user went on to add, “And then they will come to some show and say they had to face lots of struggle to get this show done.” A netizen further went on to say, “Release this in England first.”
The Archies has been directed by Zoya Akhtar. The movie is touted to be a unique take on the cult-famous Archies comics. It marks the Bollywood debut of Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda and Khushi Kapoor.
