Thangalaan first single Minikki Minikki promo: Vikram and Parvathy’s celebratory song is an ode to folk music

Vikram’s film Thangalaan is gearing up for its much-awaited release on August 15, 2024. Ahead of the grand release of the Pa Ranjith directorial, the makers have dropped the promo of the first single from the film. Titled 'Minikki Minikki', the new song is composed by GV Prakash Kumar and crooned by Sinduri Vishal.

The new promo showcases lead actors Vikram and Parvathy dancing to the celebratory folk song while tribals join them in the energetic performance. The song truly brings out the essence of the film and seems to describe the beauty of their community, while Parvathy and Vikram look terrific in their roles.

It appears that the makers have decided to amplify the promotions through musical updates ahead of its grand Independence Day release. Notably, the film will be clashing with the Telugu film Double iSmart, starring Ram Pothineni, at the box office.

Thangalaan trailer: A visual marvel!

Earlier, the makers had unveiled the magnificent trailer of Pa Ranjith’s upcoming film Thangalaan, which explores the themes of oppression within a historical context. Pa Ranjith, known for his hard-hitting socio-political dramas, has presented a gripping tale of the oppression faced by a tribal community at the hands of the British. The trailer hints that the film will narrate the original story of the Kolar Gold Fields (KGF), discovered by the British two centuries ago. The trailer promises to deliver surrealism, mythology, and an untold story of the oppressed community. The performances of the leading stars—Vikram, Parvathy, and Malavika Mohanan—have piqued the interest of the viewers who are eagerly looking forward to seeing the spectacle on the big screen soon!

Directed by Pa Ranjith, the long-delayed period action film was co-written by Tamil Prabha and Azhagiya Periyavan, along with Pa Ranjith. The movie boasts a stellar cast featuring Pasupathi, Preethi, and Arjun Prabhakaran in key roles. The film is produced by KE Gnanavel Raja’s Studio Green with Pa Ranjith’s Neelam Productions overseeing production.
