    After much speculation, director H Vinoth has finally confirmed his next collaboration with Thalapathy Vijay. For the unversed, social media had been abuzz with speculations about who would be directing Thalapathy Vijay’s final film, as he had announced his decision to bid farewell to cinema after his 69th film to focus on his political career. Although the makers never confirmed these speculations, director H Vinoth recently spoke at length about this exciting project, Thalapathy 69, for the first time.

    At the recently held Magudam Awards ceremony in Chennai, the Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru director revealed that he is indeed directing Vijay’s 69th film and shared intriguing details about the upcoming venture. He disclosed that the film will not be political, as speculated by the media, but will instead be a ‘200% Thalapathy film.’ Promising a commercial entertainer that will appeal to audiences of all age groups, the director expressed confidence that this will be an exciting project fans can look forward to. 

    The director also described Ajith as an 'abstract thinking person,' while referring to Vijay as a 'simple thinking person.' H Vinoth has earlier worked with actor Ajith in the film Nerkonda Paarvai (2019).

    Thalapathy 69 rumored cast and crew

    Fans and audiences are extremely excited about the upcoming film, especially after director H Vinoth’s recent revelations. Many now believe that earlier reports about the cast and crew could also be true. According to these reports, actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who has shared screen space with Vijay in films such as Theri, Kaththi, and Mersal, has been cast as the female lead. Reports also suggest that Malayalam superstar Mohanlal will be a part of the project, potentially playing a significant role alongside Thalapathy Vijay. Interestingly, Premalu star Mamitha Baiju is rumoured to be playing Vijay’s sister in the upcoming venture. Although an official confirmation is still awaited, this rumoured cast has sent fans into a frenzy, eager to learn more about the new project. 

    Kannada-based production house KVN Productions is set to bankroll this project, with Sathyan Sooryan handling cinematography and Anirudh Ravichander composing the music.
