Thalapathy 69: Big announcement on Vijay’s last film to drop soon | Watch tribute video

The most awaited update is here! The prestigious Kannada production house, KVN Productions, has unveiled the announcement date for Thalapathy Vijay’s 69th and final film of his glorious career. The makers of the film unveiled an emotional tribute video, showcasing footage of Thalapathy Vijay’s iconic characters from his acting career.

The video then features shots of die-hard Thalapathy fans who expressed their sentiments to their idol. Many fans, from Tamil Nadu to Kerala, expressed their sorrow over the actor’s exit from the film industry after his upcoming 69th film. However, they promised to watch his last film on the first day of its release.

The production company then announced that the official project announcement and details of the film will be unveiled tomorrow, September 14, 2024.

Sharing the new video, they wrote, “Un ratham en ratham verae illai.. Uthirathil vithaithayae anbin sollai. The Love for Thalapathy. We all grew up with your films & you’ve been a part of our lives every step of the way. Thank you, Thalapathy, for entertaining us for more than 30 years. #Thalapathy69 Project announcement drops tomorrow at 5 PM.”

For the unversed, the upcoming film is set to be directed by H. Vinoth, who will be helming the project in his maiden collaboration with the Tamil superstar.

According to the Tamil director, making a good film is about transforming one into a good human being. At a recent event, the director said, “According to me, a good film is not a big-budget/big-hero/big box-office film. A good film should transform a human into a better human being.”

He had earlier confirmed that he was indeed directing Vijay’s 69th film and shared intriguing details about the upcoming venture. He disclosed that the film will not be political, but rather a ‘100% Thalapathy film.’ Promising a commercial entertainer that will appeal to audiences of all age groups, the director expressed confidence that this will be an exciting project for fans to look forward to.

As per reports, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, Premalu star Mamitha Baiju, and Simran have been roped in to play pivotal roles.
