'Thalapathy 67' Vishal reveals that he will be the main villain in Vijay's entry into the Lokesh Cinematic Universe

    Director Lokesh Kangaraj's cinematic universe is a massive success with back-to-back hits which include 2019's Kaithi and the recent Vikram .

    The third installment will see the director reuniting with Thalapathy Vijay after the 2021 blockbuster Master which grossed around 300 crores at the global box office.

    The third installment in the Lokesh Kanakaraj universe is still in the early stages of production but boats of a star-studded cast.

    In a recent interview with Indiaglitz actor Vishal finally revealed that he will be playing the main antagonist opposite, Vijay.

    In the interview Vishal talked about his excitement about joining the project as well revealing that he is a huge fan of Vijay, he also talked about how he had to put a few projects on hold because of the shooting schedule for Thalapathy 67 .

    Vishal who is currently working on his directorial debut Thupparivaalan 2 also talked about his other upcoming projects Mark Anthony and Laththi.

    Thalapathy 67 has a massive star cast that includes Sanjay Dutt, Trisha, Arjun, Mansoor Ali Khan, Gautham Menon, and Mysskin.

    There are also rumors floating around that both Karthi and Kamala Hassan will be reprising their roles as Dillie and Vikram respectively.

    Along with Thalapathy 67, director Lokesh Kannakaraj is also working on the sequel to Kaithi, which will be a prequel and will explain Dillie's connection to Rolex and his gang.

    Currently, there is a Hindi remake of Kaithi titled Bholaa in devolvement which will star Ajay Devgan in the lead and will also be directed by him.

    Currently, Vijay is gearing up for the release of his next movie Varisu which is directed by Vamshi Paidipally and will be the first on-screen pairing of the actor and Rashmika Mandanna.

    Varisu will hit the big screen on January 12, 2023.
