Thalaivettiyaan Paalayam release date: Know when you can watch the Tamil version of Prime Video's hit series Panchayat

Jitendra Kumar-starrer Prime Video's hit series Panchayat is all set to launch its Tamil version. Titled Thalaivettiyaan Paalayam, the streaming platform recently announced this new original Tamil web series, featuring stand-up comedian-turned-actor Abishek Kumar in the lead role.

When to watch Thalaivettiyaan Paalayam

According to reports, the web series will be available for streaming on Prime Video from September 20, 2024. Alongside Abishek Kumar, the series stars Chetan, Devadharshini Chetan, Anand Sami, and Paul Raj. It is directed by Naga and written by Bala Kumaran. The series is produced by Arunabh Kumar, Shreyansh Pandey, and Vijay Koshy under The Viral Fever (TVF), who also produced the Jitendra Kumar-starrer Panchayat.

The new poster from the series features the protagonist, Abishek Kumar, getting down from an auto rickshaw with a pile of luggage, and arriving in a barren village. Other key actors, including Chetan and Devadharshini Chetan, are also seen in the poster. While Panchayat turned out to be a massive hit among audiences, will Thalaivettiyaan Paalayam live up to expectations? Only time will tell!

What is Thalaivettiyaan Paalayam all about?

According to sources, the series follows Sidharth, played by Abishek Kumar, an engineering graduate from Chennai who reluctantly takes on a job far outside his comfort zone as a secretary in the remote village of Thalaivettiyaan Paalayam. As he navigates the quirks of rural life and its eccentric villagers, he finds himself caught up in a comedy of errors full of twists and turns.

Amazon’s Content Head, Manish Menghani, expressed enthusiasm about presenting the Tamil original comedy-drama Thalaivettiyaan Paalayam, which was developed in collaboration with their longstanding partner TVF. In his statement, he said, “This series brings a delightful blend of humor with heartwarming moments through a simple yet gripping narrative, making it an irresistibly binge-worthy entertainer. We are confident that Thalaivettiyaan Paalayam will engage viewers not just in Tamil Nadu, but across India and worldwide.”
