Telugu dub of Thalapathy Vijay's 'Varisu' gets its release date pushed back
The Telugu version titled 'Vaarasudu' has been postponed by two days.
Varisu
A sad day for Telugu fans of Thalapathy Vijay as the Telugu dub of the movie had its release date pushed back from January 11th to January 14th.
And the fact that the superstar and the main cast and crew of the movie did not attend the pre-release event held in Hydrabad lead to further disappointment.
However, producer Dil Raju and actor Srikanth did attend the event and informed the crowd about the change in the release date and reassured fans that Thalapathy Vijay will be in Hyderabad to meet his fans soon.
The reason for the sudden delay in the release might be to avoid a clash with Chiranjeevi's 'Walter Veeraiya' and Balakrishnan's 'Veera Simha Reddy' both of which are slated to hit theaters on January 12th.
There is also the fact that the Telugu version of the movie hasn't been certified yet and this could also have been a factor behind the delayed release.
Varisu will be Thalapathy Vijay's first collaboration with noted Telugu director Vamshi Paidipally. Vamshi is known for directing many hits in the Telugu industry such as Munna, Oopiri, and the recent Mahesh Babu starrer Maharshi. No doubt the director can recreate his success.
In the movie, Vijay plays the son of a business tycoon who has to take over the company after a series of unfortunate events.
Varisu will also mark the first time the actor will be paired with Rashmika Mandanna. The movie wrapped production in September and boasts an ensemble cast that includes Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Sangeetha, Khushbu, Ganesh Venkatraman, and Yogi Babu.
The movie has an estimated budget of 200 crores and will be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. With T-series acquiring the rights to the Hindi Version.
Meanhwile all the other versions of Varisu will be hitting theaters worldwide on January 12th.
