Tamil actor Jiiva survives car crash, lashes out at onlookers in viral video

Tamil actor Jiiva and his wife narrowly escaped serious injury after being involved in a car accident on Wednesday. According to reports, Jiiva was driving his SUV from Chennai to Salem when he swerved to avoid hitting a jaywalker, causing the vehicle to crash into a road median. The car sustained significant front-end damage, but both Jiiva and his wife escaped with only minor injuries.

The actor and his wife were taken to a hospital in Salem for first aid, and the police are currently investigating the circumstances of the accident. The incident, which could have been far worse, has sparked attention on social media after a video from the crash site went viral.

In the video, Jiiva, visibly shaken and irritated, was seen lashing out at onlookers who made comments at the scene. The actor, under stress, was heard using expletives. The footage quickly circulated online, garnering mixed reactions from fans and the public.

This isn't the first time Jiiva has found himself at the centre of controversy. Recently, he clashed with a media person during a public event, when he was asked to comment on the Hema Committee report, which has raised concerns about the treatment of women in the Malayalam film industry.

Visibly upset at the timing of the question, Jiiva responded angrily, saying, "Such issues don’t happen in the Tamil industry; they only happen in Kerala." His remarks sparked backlash on social media, with many criticizing the actor for downplaying the importance of safety in the Tamil film industry.
