Film producer KE Gnanavel Raja has demonstrated great confidence in the potential of his upcoming production, Kanguva, to captivate audiences worldwide. As the film's release date draws closer, his faith in the movie seems to be only getting stronger.

Kanguva stars Tamil superstar Suriya in the lead role, narrating the adventures of a medieval warlord. The film has been slated for release on October 10, coinciding with the Puja holidays. Given that it's a coveted holiday, the trade seems to believe that other filmmakers may also pick this date to release their films.

Gnanavel said that it was beyond his control and he couldn't stop other films from directly clashing with Kanguva at the box office. However, he suggested that the producers of other films may make that mistake as they have not fully grasped the true potential of Kanguva.

"We cannot decide any of these things. But, I can assure you that it will happen for Kanguva Part 2. Nobody will dare to release their films against part 2. During the release of part 1, somebody may release their film without knowing," Gnanavel told Galatta Plus.

Earlier, speculations were rife that Superstar Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan will also open in cinemas on October 10. The producers of that film have not officially announced the release date, but it's expected to come out in theatres in October.

According to trade sources, Vettaiyan is likely to be released at the end of October. Gnanavel also revealed that he has no intentions of clashing his movies with Rajinikanth's films, proclaiming himself to be a die-hard fan of the Superstar.

Gnanavel is directly releasing Kanguva worldwide through his own banner, without partnering with other distributors. He seems to have already seen Kanguva and is very confident about its pan-India success.
