Suriya's Bollywood debut with director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra may be getting an official announcement soon

    According to a new rumor, we may be getting the official announcement of Suriya's upcoming project with Bhaag Milkha Bhaag director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.

    The movie will be Suriya's Bollywood debut and is reportedly based on Karna from the Mahabharata and is expected to enter production in 2024.

    Currently, Suriya is busy with director Siva's epic period-drama Kanguva, which is expected to enter post-production in October.

    The movie will also be the first on-screen pairing of Suriya with popular Bollywood actress Disha Patani as well as marking her Tamil Debut.

    Recently the producers of the movie revealed that the movie has a budget of 350 crores making it the actor's biggest movie to date, they also revealed that they will be spending another 100 crores on its promotion.

    The music for the movie is being helmed by Devi Sri Prasad, the Cinematography by Vetri Palanisamy, and finally, the editing will be done by Nishadh Yusuf.

    The movie is a period drama and Suriya will be playing the role of five different characters in the movie. This will beat the actor's previous record of 10 different looks which he set in his 2009 movie 'Ayan'.

    After Making her Telugu debut in the massively sucessfull Sita Ramam, Mrunal Thakur will be making her big Tamil debut in Kanguva.

    Kanguva is produced by K. E. Gnanavel Raja under the banner Studio Green, in association with UV Creations. The movie will be released in 10 languages.

    The Hindi remake rights along with the satellite, digital, and theatre distribution rights for the movie’s Hindi version were brought by producer Jayantilal Gada for a whopping 100 crores.

    The movie collected an impressive 500 crores in pre-release business beating out Vijay's upcoming Leo by 100 crores.

    The cast of the movie includes Suriya, Disha Patani, Mrunal Thakur, Yogi Babu, Kovai Sarala, Redin Kingsley, and Anandraj.
