Actor Sivakarthikeyan’s latest movie Amaran is drawing widespread praise across the Tamil film industry while continuing its box office success. The latest stars to shower praise on Amaran include Silambarasan, Suriya, and Jyothika.

The producers, Raaj Kamal Films International, recently held a special screening for Tamil cinema’s power couple Suriya, Jyothika, and veteran actor Sivakumar, Suriya’s father. A video glimpse from the screening showed Sivakumar leaving the theatre visibly moved, as he praised director Rajkumar Periasamy for his impactful storytelling. Both Suriya and Jyothika were also evidently touched by the film, which portrays the life of late Indian Army Major Mukund Varadarajan.

Suriya took time out from his promotional duties for his upcoming film Kanguva to support Amaran.

On Tuesday, Silambarasan (Simbu) shared his admiration on social media, praising the work of the cast and crew. “Wholeheartedly enjoyed #Amaran. A fantastic film from @Rajkumar_KP and team. @Siva_Kartikeyan and @Sai_Pallavi92 were extraordinary, bringing so much depth and heart to the screen. Hats off to @ikamalhaasan sir, #Mahendran sir, and @RKFI for top-notch production values. @gvprakash music elevated every scene beautifully! His hard work and attention to minute details bring the story to life. Kudos to the entire team!t,” he posted.

Sivakarthikeyan was clearly moved by Simbu’s thoughtful praise and public acknowledgment. "SilambarasanTR_ Sir, your phone call and tweet really feel special. Thank you for appreciating everything about the film. We are really happy," Sivakarthikeyan replied.

Within four days of release, Amaran has emerged as the biggest hit of Sivakarthikeyan’s career, elevating his stardom in Tamil cinema. Written and directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, the film stars Sai Pallavi as the female lead, with Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures as co-producers.
