Directed by RJ Balaji, Suriya 45 now has roped in Malayalam actors Indrans and Swasika who will be playing key roles alongside Suriya in his next.

After onboarding Trisha onto the team for Suriya and filmmaker RJ Balaji’s upcoming film Suriya 45, the makers have officially roped in two popular stars from Malayalam cinema. Aiming to bring in talents from other industries, the makers have now onboarded Malayalam veteran actor Indrans and Lubber Pandhu fame Malayalam actress Swasika in the much-anticipated film.

For the unversed, Indrans has been a prominent actor in Malayalam cinema, known for portraying a variety of comedic and character roles throughout his career. The acclaimed actor, who has received numerous accolades, was honored with a National Film Award - Special Mention for his role in the 2023 film Home.
Swasika, on the other hand, received widespread praise for her performance in the recent superhit film Lubber Pandhu. The actress, who has also appeared in several Tamil films, is a well-recognized face among Tamil audiences. While the makers have kept details about their characters under wraps, fans are thrilled about the stellar cast joining the upcoming film.

Helmed and written by RJ Balaji, the film will reportedly feature Suriya and Trisha as lawyers and is billed as a rural entertainer. Suriya 45 marks the fifth collaboration between Suriya and Trisha after nearly two decades. For those unaware, the on-screen pair had previously starred together as a romantic duo in Aaru and Mounam Pesiyadhe, and as co-stars in Mani Ratnam's Aayutha Ezhuthu (though not as a couple). Additionally, they appeared together in the song "Oyyale" from Kamal Haasan and Trisha’s film Manmadhan Ambu, where Suriya made a cameo appearance.
The project is being produced by S.R. Prabhu under the Dream Warrior Pictures banner.
On the technical front, Sai Abyankkar will compose the music for the film, taking over after Academy Award-winning composer A.R. Rahman departed from the project.
