Sunny Deol to bring back the patriotic fervor with Border 2 after the stupendous success of Gadar 2

It is not a hidden fact that Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 is striking gold at the box office. The movie has now entered the Rs 300 crore mark. Now, we have another delightful news that will leave all the fans of the actor super happy. According to the latest development, Sunny is all set to star in the sequel of his iconic blockbuster 1997 film Border. The movie revolved around the incidents of the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971.

Talking about the same, a news report in Pinkvilla, Sunny Deol is all set to collaborate with the director of the movie JP Dutta and his daughter Nidhi Dutta to bring back the magic of Border. A source close to the development revealed to the publication, “Border is among the most historic blockbusters of Indian Cinema and is easily a film that warrants a part two. The team has been discussing the probability of making a Border sequel for the last 2 to 3 years and everything has now finally fallen into place as the team is all set to make an official announcement of Border 2 in a fortnight. The team has identified a tale from the 1971 Indo-Pak war that is yet not told on the big screen and are all charged up to bring it to the spectacle.”

The project will be bankrolled by JP Dutta and Nidhi Dutta with the writing process to begin soon. The source further added, “They are in advanced talks to partner with a top studio for Border 2 and an official announcement of the film and the collaboration is around the corner. While the story has already been identified from the history of the Indian Army, the writing process will begin soon.” However, reportedly Sunny Deol will be the only original cast member who will be a part of the sequel.
