Sundeep Kishan to headline Jason Sanjay’s debut directorial | Announcement video OUT

After much speculation, Thalapathy Vijay’s son, Jason Sanjay, is all set to make his directorial debut with Lyca Productions. The makers of the film have officially announced the highly anticipated project. Sharing the announcement, they revealed that the starkid’s debut film will be headlined by Raayan star and Telugu actor Sundeep Kishan.

Unveiling this exciting collaboration, the makers wrote, “A new chapter unfolds 📖 as we welcome our exceptional cast & crew — @sundeepkishan 😎, @MusicThaman 🎶, & @Cinemainmygenes ✂️🎞️ on board for JASON SANJAY-01 📚💵. On floors soon…”

According to the team, popular composer S. Thaman will be scoring the original background music and soundtracks for the film. The upcoming film, tentatively titled Jason Sanjay 01, will be a bilingual production, made in both Tamil and Telugu. The production of the film is set to go on floors soon. 

The announcement video features a fiery introduction of star hero Sundeep Kishan and debut director Jason Sanjay, the son of Thalapathy Vijay. Both are seated in their respective chairs, engaged in a lively conversation. While the video does not reveal much about the genre or the role Sundeep will be playing, one thing is certain: it’s an S. Thaman musical, promising a high-energy drama!

On the technical front, National Film Award-winning editor K.L. Praveen has also been roped in to be part of the project. Check out the announcement video here!

Jason Sanjay on his opportunity to direct

In an earlier interview, Jason expressed that it was a matter of pride for him to have his first film backed by such a prestigious production company. He also shared his happiness that the production house appreciated his story and thanked them for giving him the creative freedom to execute his vision.
