Filmmaker Sukumar has recently faced probing questions from both the trade and media regarding the extended production timeline of Pushpa 2: The Rule. Starring Allu Arjun in the lead role, Pushpa 2 is one of the most highly anticipated cinema events of 2024. However, the delays have sparked concerns about the efficiency of the filmmaking process.

Pushpa 2 is not particularly demanding in terms of special effects. It’s a straightforward story about an ego clash between the head of a crime syndicate and a psychopathic, megalomaniac police officer. So why does it seem like Sukumar is taking all the time in the world to complete it? It's a natural question, especially considering that production has been ongoing for over three years now.

Addressing this pressing question at the pre-release event of "Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam," Sukumar suggested that his caution stems from the need to match the spectacular success of Pushpa: The Rise.

"We made Pushpa 1 for ourselves. But Pushpa 2 is made for you. Because of that, we took two days to complete a shot that only required a day. We took that one extra day on your account. We put in twice the effort and as many days to make this film. And in performance, Thaggedele (not backing down)," Sukumar explained.

He emphasized his pursuit of perfection in every shot, working meticulously with his cast and crew until he achieved the desired outcome. Sukumar also reassured fans, putting an end to speculations about the delay in the release of Pushpa 2. "We are coming out on December 6. Thaggedele," he added.

Pushpa 2 was initially slated for release on August 15. However, due to the extended production timeline, the movie has been pushed to December.
