The makers of Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor and Agastya Nanda starrer The Archies have released the first poster which received a lot of trolling.

The first poster of Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies is finally out. The Netflix film marks the Bollywood debut of Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda, Sridevi’s daughter Khushi Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan. However, the first look rather received some stern trolling by the netizens with some even wanting to skip it.
Talking about the first poster, it shows all the lead characters dressed up in vintage attires and hairstyles like the popular character from the Archies comics. Going by their looks, we can make out that Agastya Nanda, Suhana Khan, and Khushi Kapoor will be essaying the role of Archie, Veronica, and Betty. While the other supporting star cast including Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina, Yuvraj Menda, and Dot will be playing Jughead, Reggie, Dilton, and Ethel. Take a look at the same.
However, no sooner did the poster released than many netizens started brutally trolling it. One of the netizens called the movie, “Star Kids Rojgaar Yojna” while another user said, “Please stop.” A netizen went on to call the star cast of The Archies, “Bandra babies.” A user furthermore said, “Series for south Delhi and south Mumbai peoples who live in the strawberry utopian world.” A netizen compared the film to the series Class which was the remake of the Spanish show Elite. The comment read, “Basically this is Class but I guess less dark.” Another user added, “Dil thaam k baithiye because Nepotism's gonna ruin your fav comics and childhood memories.” A netizen went on to say, “I'm gonna skip this one.” A user added, “Honey wake up, Netflix is about to throw another steaming pile of s**t at us.” Another netizen said, “Looks like a waste of time.”
Suhana Khan and Khushi Kapoor also shared the poster on their respective social media handles. However, their friends from the industry showered some love on the same. The movie promises to be a unique take on the memorable comic book against the backdrop of an Indian setting.
