The wait is over! Ahead of the highly anticipated release of the Malayalam humorous mystery thriller Sookshma Darshini, the makers have now unveiled the film’s trailer. Directed by MC Jithin, known for Nonsense (2018), the upcoming film stars Nazriya Nazim and Basil Joseph and is billed as an engaging mystery thriller.

Sharing the new trailer, the makers wrote, “Behind every smile, a secret hides. 🤫 Can you unravel the mystery? #SookshmaDarshini is here! Watch now.”

The trailer opens with Nazriya’s character noticing a new neighbor moving into the neighborhood. While she finds it exciting to meet the new arrival, something seems off about this person. Nazriya plays a highly observant and inquisitive individual who begins to follow Basil Joseph, who portrays her mysterious new neighbor. As others in the neighborhood warm up to Basil, his activities start raising suspicions.

The trailer teases mysterious occurrences, offering a glimpse of an intriguing thriller. While highlighting the suspenseful drama between Nazriya and Basil, the trailer also showcases their humorous side, promising an entertaining blend of mystery and comedy.

The upcoming Nazriya Nazim and Basil Joseph starrer promises to blend comedy and mystery elements. The film also marks Nazriya’s return to Mollywood after a four-year hiatus; she was last seen in the Fahadh Faasil-starrer Trance (2020).

In addition to the lead cast, the film features a talented ensemble, including Deepak Parambol, Siddharth Bharathan, Merrin Philp, Akhila Bhargavan, Pooja Mohanraj, Kottayam Ramesh, Gopan Mangat, Manohari Joy, Rini Udayakumar, Jaya Kurup, Aparna Ram, Abhiram Poduval, and Mirza Fathia in key roles.

On the technical front, the screenplay is penned by Athul Ramachandran and Libin TB. Sharan Velayudhan has handled the cinematography, Chaman Chacko has edited the film, and Christo Xavier has composed the original background score and soundtracks.

Sookshma Darshini is slated for release on November 22, 2024.
