SJ Suryah heaps praise on Fahadh Faasil, reveals why he said yes to this film for his Malayalam debut

SJ Suryah has been one of the most celebrated actors in Kollywood. The actor, who is gearing up for his Tamil gangster action thriller Raayan, recently opened up about his much-anticipated Malayalam debut. For the unversed, it was earlier announced that he will be making his Malayalam cinema debut alongside Fahadh Faasil in Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil director Vipin Das’s upcoming untitled project.

In a recent interview, the Tamil actor-director confirmed his presence in the upcoming Mollywood project and expressed his excitement over sharing screen space with Fahadh Faasil for his debut. Speaking of Fahadh, SJ Suryah was full of praise for the Aavesham star and admired his performance in the 2024 blockbuster action-comedy flick. He revealed, “It is my first Malayalam film and that too with Fahadh Faasil sir. I have loved his performances in many films, but I became a mad fan of him after watching Aavesham. He was fabulous and one can go on and on about the way he performed.” He also revealed his admiration for the climax portions of Aavesham, which highlighted Fahadh’s brilliant performance. “What I say is only a drop in the ocean; he has excelled in his performances so far,” the actor-director said. 

SJ Suryah also added that his upcoming Mollywood debut has an innovative concept that attracted him to the project. The upcoming film marks the maiden collaboration between these two powerhouses of talent. 

SJ Suryah’s upcoming projects 

Meanwhile, SJ Suryah, who was last seen in a small part in Kamal Haasan and S Shankar’s vigilante drama Indian 2, will have major portions in the movie’s third installment. The actor is currently gearing up for the most-anticipated release of Raayan, alongside Dhanush. He will be donning cop roles in Nani’s upcoming Telugu flick Saripodhaa Sanivaaram and Vikram’s Tamil action-drama Veera Dheera Sooran. The actor also plays a key role in Vignesh Shivan and Pradeep Ranganathan’s movie Love Insurance Corporation.
