Sita Ramam star Mrunal Thakur to make her Tamil debut in Suriya 42

After Making her Telugu debut in the massively sucessfull Sita Ramam, Mrunal Thakur will be making her big Tamil debut in Suriya 42 .

Sita Ramam was a period romance -drama that starred Mrinal Thakur, Dulquer Salmaan, and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead.

The movie was a massive critical and commercial success and grossed over 110 crores at the box office. Mrunal Thakur's performance in the movie received a lot of praise from critics and audiences alike.

Suriya 42 is an epic period drama which is directed by Siva, marking the first collaboration between Surya and the director.

The movie will also be the first on-screen pairing of Suriya with popular Bollywood actress Disha Patani, recently Siva revealed that Suriya will be sporting 13 unique looks in the movie.

According to a report almost 60% of Suriya 42 has been completed and the next schedule is expected to start in March of this year.

The movie is a period drama and Suriya will be playing the role of five different characters in the movie. This will beat the actor's previous record of 10 different looks which he set in his 2009 movie 'Ayan'.

Director Siva's last movie was the 2021 action movie 'Annaatthe', which starred superstar Rajinikanth in the lead despite mixed reviews from critics the movie was a massive success at the box office and grossed over 250 crores worldwide.

The Hindi remake rights along with the satellite, digital, and theatre distribution rights for the movie’s Hindi version were brought by producer Jayantilal Gada.

As for Suriya 2022 was a good year for the actor his movie 'Etharkkum Thunindhavan' which was directed by Pandiraj was a box-office hit despite mixed reviews from critics.

Suriya will also have a cameo in the upcoming Hindi remake of his 2020 movie Soorarai Pottru, which was a critical and commercial success and won five National Awards including Best Actor for Suriya.
