Sita Ramam Official Trailer is out; Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur's love story will steal your hearts

The movie directed by Hanu Raghavapudi is a romantic drama set in two time periods, the first story is set in 1964 and the other in the present.

Dulquer Salmaan plays the role of Lieutenant Ram who stars in a romantic relationship with Sita Mahalakshmi played by Mrunal Thakur through a series of love letters in 1965.

The movie is set against the background of the Indo-Pak war of 1965.

The present-day storyline will focus on Afreen played by Rashmika Mandanna who is trying to piece together the story of Ram and Sita.

Afreen will also serve as the narrator of the story.

The trailer looks gorgeous and one of the major highlights is the cinematography by P. S. Vinod Shreyaas Krishna.

The music by Vishal Chandrashekhar is already a hit with the first single titled "Oh Sita Hey Rama" sung by S. P. Charan and Ramya Behara which was released in May.

The chemistry between Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur feels natural, Sita Ramam also marks the actress's Telegu debut.

The movie was shot on location in Kashmir and it does add a layer of authenticity to the trailer.

The full cast of the movie includes Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur, Rashmika Mandanna, Sumanth, Tharun Bhascker, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Bhumika Chawla, Vennela Kishore , and Murali Sharma.

The movie will be dubbed into Malayalam and Tamil

Sita Ramam will hit the big screen on August 5, 2022.
