Shriya Saran to make a special appearance in Suriya 44? Here’s what we know

Suriya and Karthik Subbaraj’s upcoming film Suriya 44 (tentative title) is currently in the production stage, with filming progressing in full swing. Although the makers are busy shooting, recent reports suggest that actress Shriya Saran will make a special appearance in the Suriya-starrer. 

According to sources, Shriya Saran will perform with Suriya in a peppy dance number, composed by Santhosh Narayanan. The actress has reportedly completed filming her parts during the Ooty schedule and will share screen space with the Tamil star in this Karthik Subbaraj directorial. 

Suriya 44 latest shooting schedule

The filming of Suriya 44 has been progressing quickly, with the team recently wrapping up shooting in Ooty after several weeks. The production has now moved to Kerala for a brief schedule. A recent fan photo of Suriya in Kerala confirms the location change, showcasing the Tamil actor in a vintage look for the film. Suriya has been enjoying his time with fans in Kerala. Reports suggest that after a few days of shooting, the team will take a short break. Nearly 70% of the film has already been shot, and the entire production is expected to be completed by October. 

All about Suriya 44

Written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj, Suriya 44 marks the first collaboration between Suriya and the director. When the project was initially announced, the makers shared a first-look poster featuring an arrow piercing the bark of a tree, with flames in the background and the silhouette of a car. The caption under the poster read, “#Love Laughter War,” hinting that the film might be an action-packed romantic comedy. The team has yet to reveal additional key details about the cast and crew. 

The film stars Suriya and Pooja Hegde in lead roles, while Jayaram, Joju George, Karunakaran, Nassar, Sujith Shankar, Thamizh, Ramachandran Durairaj, Prem Kumar, Sandeep Raj, Remya Suresh, and MD Asif play supporting roles. On the technical front, the film has the original background score and soundtrack composed by Santhosh Narayanan, cinematography by Shreyaas Krishna, and editing by Shafique Mohamed Ali.
