Shahid Kapoor's next with Ali Abbas Zafar titled Bloody Daddy to have OTT release?
Shahid Kapoor's film with Ali Abbas Zafar is expected to be the remake of the 2011 French film Nuit Blanche. The film is likely to be release in the final quarter of the year on Voot Select.
After Jersey, Shahid will once again be playing a loving father in an action thriller Bloody Daddy directed by Ali Abbas Zafar . Unlike in the previous film, where he played cricket to win his child’s respect, the actor will be on a run to save his child from the mafia. The upcoming film is said to be the remake of the 2011 French film Nuit Blanche. As per the latest reports, the makers have decided to release the film on the OTT platform instead of cinemas.
Shahid’s upcoming film with Ali has been tentatively titled Bloody Daddy. According to a news portal report, a source close to the development said that it is a tentative working title of the upcoming film. However, all mentioned that in all probabilities it would be the final title. The source added that the title suits the film as the action saga involves a lot of blood and gore. Reportedly, the makers have finalized its OTT release on Voot Select. Even though they haven’t locked the release date. It is expected that they may decide to release it by the year-end.

For the uninitiated, Shahid’s previous release Jersey saw him in the role of a cricketer but failed one. He later decides to return to cricket to fulfill his son's wish for a jersey as a gift. The film also starred his father and veteran actor Pankaj Kapur as his cricket coach, while Mrunal Thakur featured as his wife in the film. Directed by Gowtam Naidu Tinnanuri, the film tanked at the box office, however, Shahid’s performance garnered praises from critics.
Apart from this, Shahid is all geared up for his digital debut with Farzi directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. The web series also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Raashii Khanna in prominent roles. Set in the world of counterfeit money, Shahid plays a dark character that is placed at the center of the black market racket. It will soon be premiered on Amazon Prime Video.
