Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon wrap up 'an impossible love story', first look poster gives fans Kabir Singh vibes

Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon are all set to make their first onscreen appearance together with Dinesh Vijan ’s untitled love story. On Saturday, the makers dropped the first look poster of the upcoming film, while announcing the wrap-up. The duo is seen sitting close to each other on a bike near the beach, reminding netizens of Shahid and Kiara starrer Kabir Singh.

Taking to her Instagram handle, Kriti shared the poster and wrote, “Announcing the wrap of our impossible love story! Our untitled project is set to release in Oct 2023. A Jio studios and Dinesh Vijan presentation.” Soon after the people spammed the comment section with their reactions. While one user wrote, “Nibbhe nibbhiyo ke liye ek aur peshkash” Another commented, “Kabir Singh 2”. A netizen poked fun at the poster saying, “Apke(Kriti) pair upar hone chaiye the Shahid Kapoor ji k niche( Kriti’s leg should be placed above Shahid’s in the poster).” “Why do i get Kabir Singh vibes from this??” stated another. For the unversed, Shahid and Kiara had a similar scene in their romantic drama Kabir Singh directed by Sandeep Singh Vanga.

The upcoming untitled film is written and directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah. Earlier, a report suggested that the film will be robot rom-com wherein Shahid will be seen in the role of robotic expert while Kriti will essay the role of a robot. However, the makers have keot the plot and other details under the wrap. Bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande & Laxman Utekar, the film is set for October 2023 release.

Meanwhile, Shahid was last seen in Raj & DK’s web series Farzi which is based on counterfeiting. The series marked Shahid’s OTT debut co-starring Vijay Sethupathi, KK Menon and Raashii Khanna.On the other hand, Kriti was last seen in Dinesh Vijan’s horror comedy Bhediya alongside Varun Dhawan.
