SDT 18: Aishwarya Lekshmi to play Vasantha in Sai Dharam Tej’s next | Check out special birthday poster

As previously announced, Telugu actor Sai Dharam Tej is all set to headline his first pan-Indian film, tentatively titled SDT18. Directed by Rohith KP, the upcoming film is being produced by K. Niranjan Reddy and Chaitanya Reddy of Primeshow Entertainment. The makers have now unveiled the character and first-look poster of Aishwarya Lekshmi from the film. 

On their social media pages, the makers wrote, “A Breeze in the barren lands. Unveiling #AishwaryaLekshmi as VASANTHA from the Magnanimous World of #SDT18 on the occasion of her birthday #HBDAishwaryaLekshmi.”

The new poster features the Malayalam actress in a poignant look, sporting a brown saree with a long braid, as she turns around to give an intense gaze. The poster has piqued the interest of viewers, who are excited for the actress’ second Telugu project. For context, Aishwarya made her Telugu film debut with the emotional drama Ammu in 2022. Sai Dharam Tej’s SDT18

 The upcoming film, which has yet to receive its official title, marks the 18th film of actor Sai Dharam Tej’s career. Earlier, the makers released an announcement poster featuring a lone green tree in a desert surrounded by landmines, hinting at a story with universal appeal. The caption on the poster reads, “The land that is longing for his arrival. He will ascend from the depths,” indicating that the film is set to be a fantasy magnum opus. 

The makers have also revealed that the film is a period drama set between 1947 and 1967, narrating events that took place in Rayalaseema. They also revealed that Sai Dharam Tej will portray a formidable character in this high-octane period drama. The shooting for the film is currently underway, and it is set to have a pan-Indian release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. 

The movie is expected to be a high-octane period action drama. While the makers have not yet disclosed further details regarding the cast and crew, the film is written and directed by Rohith KP.
