Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda has joined the cast of actor Sunny Deol’s next collaboration, SDGM (tentative title), with Telugu director Gopichand Malineni. On the special occasion of the actor’s birthday, the film's makers took to their social media handles to announce that Randeep Hooda has officially come on board for the project.

Sharing a picture of the Bollywood actor, the makers wrote, “Team #SDGM welcomes the Most Versatile Actor Randeep Hooda on board. Happy Birthday, @RandeepHooda. MASS FEAST LOADING.” Although the makers announced the actor's onboarding, his character details are kept under wraps. 

The upcoming film marks the first collaboration between the Telugu director and Bollywood stars Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda. The film's title is yet to be announced.

After the success of the Nandamuri Balakrishna-starrer Veera Simha Reddy, Telugu director Gopichand Malineni has decided to team up with actor Sunny Deol for his Bollywood debut. Touted to be a pan-India project, the film commenced shooting earlier with a grand puja ceremony. 

Based on the announcement poster, the film is an action flick, with Gopichand promising to present Sunny Deol in a never-before-seen avatar. Besides Randeep Hooda and Sunny Deol, actress Saiyami Kher and South Indian actress Regina Cassandra are said to play pivotal roles in the film. On the technical front, the film boasts well-known artists, including Tollywood music composer S Thaman, who is scoring the original background music and soundtracks, Rishi Punjabi handling the cinematography, and Navin Nooli managing the editing. The film is being produced as a joint venture by Pushpa 2 makers Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory.

Gopichand’s shelved project with Ravi Teja

Director Gopichand Malineni was set to collaborate with actor Ravi Teja for the fourth time. The actor-director duo, who worked on films such as Don Seenu, Balupu, and Krack, had announced that they would be joining forces once again with Mythri Movie Makers for the untitled project RT4GM. 

Unfortunately, the film did not materialize and was shelved for unknown reasons. It looks like Gopichand and Mythri Movie Makers have decided to focus on their upcoming Bollywood venture, and may revive the project with Ravi Teja at a later time.
