In a recent interview with ETimes, the actor revealed, “When the makers approached me for 'Chennai Express', I heard the story and I felt that it was not that great a role for me. I conveyed this to the director (Rohit Shetty) and also to Shah Rukh Khan, but I eventually did the film, because I like Shah Rukh very much. I like SRK's acting a lot. His films, like 'DDLJ' and several others, did extremely well.” Well, fans definitely loved seeing him in a Bollywood film.

During his interaction, he also opened up about SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali, which made him a fan favorite thanks to his character Kattappa. Sathyaraj shared that working with the filmmaker is quite easy since he has a very clear vision. Talking about his co-star Prabhas , the actor revealed, “Prabhas is a darling and a very humble person. People may think that on the sets of 'Baahubali', we all must have been very serious during acting, but that's not true. We were always in fun mode.” He went on to add that shooting for Baahubali was like a picnic!

Sathyaraj recently reunited with Prabhas in the period romantic drama, Radhe Shyam. While Prabhas portrayed the role of a palmist named Vikramaditya in the film, his Kattappa mama played the character of his guru.
