    Happy Birthday, Prithviraj! On the special occasion of the Malayalam superstar's 42nd birthday, the makers of his upcoming film have officially announced a new collaboration with the actor. Director Vipin Das, who attained massive success with his previous collaboration with Prithviraj Sukumaran in the family entertainer Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil, is all set to reunite with the Malayalam actor for another entertainer!

    Sharing the announcement on social media, the makers unveiled the project title – Santhosh Trophy, and wrote, “Get ready to meet Santhosh as he chases his dream trophy on his next birthday! Happy Birthday, Prithviraj Sukumaran! Vipin Das is teaming up with Prithvi again after Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil. #SanthoshTrophy, directed by Vipin Das, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran.” 

    Although the makers have not revealed many details about the film, the title poster’s font is styled as a toothy smile, indicating that the film is likely to be another comedy entertainer from the hit director-actor duo. The film is produced by Listin Stephen and Supriya Menon, under the banners Magic Frames and Prithviraj Productions. 

    More details about the film are expected to be announced soon.

    For those unversed, filmmaker Vipin Das and Prithviraj’s last outing, Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil, which was released earlier this year, was a huge success. Starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, Basil Joseph, Yogi Babu, Nikhila Vimal, Anaswara Rajan, Jagadish, Baiju Santhosh, and Rekha, the movie follows a chaotic yet humorous tale surrounding a wedding. Made on a budget of ₹15 crore, the film earned up to ₹90 crore at the box office, leading to a massive success. It also garnered overwhelming responses for its commercial entertainment value, setting it apart from other action thrillers released this year.

    Meanwhile, Prithviraj, who is currently occupied with the shooting of his much-anticipated directorial sequel of the Mohanlal-starrer L2: Empuraan, will also be seen in Vilayath Buddha and his long-delayed period action thriller Kaaliyan.
