'Saif Ali Khan is out of danger': Actor's team shares health update post knife attack at home

In the early hours of Thursday, January 16, there was an attempted burglary at Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan's Bandra house. Reportedly, Saif was stabbed six times by an intruder while he was trying to save his house help. The actor was rushed to Lilavati Hospital around 3 am in the morning. A while ago, Saif's team released the official statement and shared an update on his health. The statement said that the surgery was done and the actor was out of danger now.

During the incident, Kareena, Taimur, and Jeh were also present. In the given statement, it is said that the family is safe. The cops are currently investigating the case and the family's house helps are being questioned. The statement read, "Saif Ali Khan has come out of surgery and is out of danger. He is currently in recovery and the doctors are monitoring his progress. All family members are safe and the police is investigating the incident. We would like to thank Dr. Niraj Uttamani, Dr. Nitin Dange, Dr Leena Jain and the team at Lilavati hospital. Thank you to all his fans and well-wishers for their prayers and thoughts during this time."

The reports also suggest that an FIR against the intruder has been lodged at the Bandra Police Station. The unidentified person barged into Saif Ali Khan's house while he was sleeping. The cops confirmed that a scuffle broke out between Saif and the intruder after he tried to barge in. Among the six stab wounds, two of them are deep, one of which is near the spine, said the statement from Lilavati Hospital.

It is also said that the Crime Branch and local Mumbai Police have formed 15 teams to search for the intruder. One of the teams is scanning the CCTV footage while three teams have left for different areas of Mumbai.

Saif and Kareena recently returned to Mumbai with their kids after celebrating New Year's in Swiss.
