Actress Ruhani Sharma has recently faced intense scrutiny following the leak of an intimate scene from her film Agra. The scene, which has gone viral on the internet, has sparked a wave of criticism, much to the actress's dismay. In response, Ruhani issued a heartfelt statement expressing her frustration and defending her choices as an artist.

Addressing the controversy, Ruhani said, "To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. It's heartbreaking to see our months of hard work, dedication, and passion being disregarded in this way." She regretted that the scene was being viewed out of the context of the film, undermining the efforts and artistry that went into creating it.

Ruhani emphasized that Agra is not just another movie but a "labour of love" that was premiered at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in 2023. She noted that the film has been internationally acclaimed, winning several awards and pushing the boundaries of world cinema. "Creating an art film is an intense journey filled with countless challenges, sleepless nights, and unwavering commitment," she added.

Ruhani also addressed the quick judgments being made by some viewers, urging them to understand the immense effort behind such projects. "What's even more disheartening is how quick some are to judge without understanding the blood, sweat, and tears that go into bringing such a project to life," she remarked.

Standing firmly by her artistic choices, Ruhani called for respect and understanding, reminding everyone that art is meant to challenge and provoke thought. "Art isn't always meant to be easy or comfortable—it's meant to challenge, to evoke emotion, to make us think," she stated.

Ruhani is a well-known face among South Indian audiences. She made her debut in Telugu with the 2017 hit romantic drama, Chi La Sow. Some of her well-known works include HIT: The First Case, and web series Her - Chapter 1.
