RRR Day 5: Ram Charam, Jr NTR-starrer continue to roar at box office, inches to earning Rs 600 crore worldwide
SS Rajamouli's RRR Hindi version is expected to enter Rs 100 crore club. The worldwide box office collection of the period drama is also inching close to Rs 600 crore.
SS Rajamouli’s RRR starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR is unstoppable at the box office ever since it was released on March 25. With each passing day, the multi-language film is putting up fabulous numbers at the box office. The film is now nearing to earning Rs 600 crore worldwide as per trade experts.
Opening to positive reviews from the critics and audience alike, the film's glorious run is likely to continue for another week. Earlier, the movie has grossed Rs 500 crore worldwide in just three days of release. As per trade analyst, the movie's box office collection is expected to hit Rs 15-16 crore for its Hindi version, clearing the way for its entry into the Rs 100 crore club.
On Tuesday, trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, "#RRR #Hindi RRRoars and scores on the crucial make-or-break Mon... BIGGEST Day 4 [post pandemic]... FANTASTIC HOLD everywhere, especially in mass circuits... Will cross 100 cr today [Tue; Day 5]... Fri 19 cr, Sat 24 cr, Sun 31.50 cr, Mon 17 cr. Total: Rs 91.50 cr. #India biz (sic)."
Talking about the per-day collection of the RRR Hindi version, the film opened its account with a little more than Rs 20 crore at the box office. On the following weekend( Saturday and Sunday), the film collected Rs 24 crore and over Rs 31 crore respectively. On Monday, it earned Rs 17 crore, taking the total collection close to Rs 100 crore.
The movie also turned out to be a profitable venture in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The period drama has already crossed Rs 150 Crore in the region. On its first day of release, the magnum opus opened its account with a whopping Rs 74.11 Crore at the box office. During the weekend, however, it declined to Rs 65.16 Crore. Also, on Monday, it continued to decline garnering Rs 17.73 Crore. On the fifth day, i.e Tuesday, the period drama accumulated Rs 13.63 Crore, adding the total collection of the film to Rs 170.63 Crore (share).
For the unversed, RRR was made on the budget of Rs 350 crore, while the remuneration of the lead actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR is reportedly Rs 80 Crore each. On the other hand, the filmmaker SS Rajamouli has reportedly taken a whopping Rs 100 Crore as his fees. Meanwhile, the period drama RRR is based on the lives of freedom fighters Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem. The film also stars Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in supporting roles.
