RJ Balaji opens up about Suriya 45, apologies to fans for this reason

Actor-filmmaker RJ Balaji expressed immense joy and gratitude following the official announcement of his upcoming film with Tamil superstar Suriya, titled Suriya 45. The project, which is now in pre-production, marks a significant milestone for Balaji, who will be directing Suriya. He shared his excitement with fans on a new episode of his podcast, where he apologized for not breaking the news on his show earlier.

"I know some of you might be a little disappointed that I didn't announce this with you first," Balaji said. "But to be honest, I didn’t know when the news was going to come out. We had a lot of discussions behind the scenes, debating whether to announce it now or later. That’s why I didn’t speak about my film with Suriya earlier. But now that it’s official, I’m so happy to share this with you. I’ve been working quietly on this project for a long time, and for that reason, I feel like God has been kind to me."

Balaji added that the journey ahead is long and requested his fans for their support, saying, “I need your prayers and blessings as we embark on this exciting journey.”

The first-look poster of Suriya 45 suggests the film may be set against the backdrop of village culture and tradition, possibly with folklore and fantasy elements. While details about the film remain scarce, fans have begun speculating whether the film could be related to Balaji's previously unmade project with Thalapathy Vijay.

The film will be produced by Dream Warrior Pictures.

At the moment, Suriya is waiting for the release of his most ambitious movie yet, Kanguva. Written and directed by Siva, the film is set to hit the screens on November 14. And Suriya is busy promoting the movie, especially in North Indian states.
